We need to replace our current back boiler with a new boiler. Would you recommend to change to a combination boiler? I have heard that water pressure can be significantly reduced by these types of boilers. Is there a certain make and model that you would recommend? Please help, we have no hot water at present!! Thanks for the reply mark. I live in a three bedroom semi with one bathroom and an electric shower so hopefully a combi would be O.K.

jo there are pros and cons to having a combi so i will start with the pros
a,no stored hot water,b,cheaper gas bills , hot water at mains pressure
now the cons
a, alley heat exchanger b, incressed water pressure on both central heating and hot water and mains pressure at all colds you may find leaks were there wasnt any b4 ,c, finding a plumber who understands combis to install it .d, your central heating system will need to be power flushed b4 the combi is conected to the circute you should expect to pay £300 to £400 for the power flush which should take about 6 hours .e, if you still wish to use your airing cuboard to air your clothes you will need a small rad fitted in your airing cuboard.f,inhibitor must be added to the system at the commishing stage.f,combi boilers must be serviced once a year

i hope this is of some help
o as for make you get what you pay for worcesters are a good make
