I dont know anything about electrics, so help needed.
I have an electrical cooker switch with socket. The cooker switch is no longer used,can I remove the big box and replace it with a normal plug socket?? I have been told no because of the ampage but I have never used the cooker switch and have always been ok with normal plug

There is no problem with changing the cooker outlet for a double socket.
