Hi all,
Have recently had an Economy 7 meter installed. However, I notice that its clock appears to be free-running, switching to the low rate at around 1am. I was always led to believe that the the switchover time was controlled daily by a special code transmitted on the Radio 4 LW frequency - 198kHz. However, nobody seems to have heard of this concept! If the switchover time is fixed nowadays, surely the meter's clock would therefore need a reference - ie Rugby? At the moment it seems to be slipping by the day - soon we'll have cheap rate during daylight hours by the look of it!

Some meters are radio teleswitches and some are mechanical, you seem to have a faulty mechanical.

Either it is radio controlled, manuelly set by installer or a seperate time clock placed along side it.
