My boyfriend and I broke up and we moved out of our shared flat. We had final bills for electricity and water which were quite large, and he is now refusing to give me his half of the money. Both our names are on both electricity and water accounts, so does this make him legally bound to pay his half if I pay mine? Or will the companies deem it both our responsibility and continue to pursue me if he refuses to pay up?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated!!
