if cam belt snaps on a w reg saxo 16v will it damage cylinder head

Can't say for certain as I'm only a poor plumber.

Yes it can virtually destroy the engine according to what my mates say, all the bits that go up and down and round and round in a nice orderly fashon suddenly have a mind of there own.

I think the Cam has to be change about every 5 years again from what I've heard.

Others will come along with a better idea hopefully.

Why do you ask or is that asking the obvious.
