I have a copper hot water tank.

Only the top half of the tanks heats up and the bottom half is always cold, hence hot water runs out very quickly.

The central heating works fine.

Could anyone help please

Old cylinder and full of scale.

You should also check the pipes when you replace it as these could also be scaling up with age. Cool
