|
|
I want to change my bathroom light from a globe to spotlights on a central plate e.g. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4322746.htm (not this one, but this sort of thing).
The fitting is in 'zone 3', so apparently should be ok with the model. But could someone advise me whether I'll need to get a registered electrician to do the job, due to regs?
Also, a friend mentioned something about protective plates being required if you're mounting halogen spotlights...first I've heard of it!
Any advice gratefully received! |

| Thanks for replying...just over a metre away, and more than 2.4 from the floor (bath is normal height), so it seems to comply with the diagram that came with the light. |

cant see a problem, but as it is in the bathroom and within 3 metres of the bath it would be notifiable under part 'P' of the building regs as a modification to the circuit.
