I have a tankless toilet in my apartment, and it just recently started doing some alarming things. The water gushes out from underneath the rim in huge amounts, flowing over the sides of the bowl and onto the floor. The water itself doesn't really go down, either, at least not right away - it does slowly go down in about five minutes. I've tried plunging, but actually plunging seems to make the overflow worse when I flush.

My landlord is giving me the runaround about when he can get a plumber over here, so I'd really love to find a way to fix this m'self. Any help y'all can offer would be much appreciated.

From your description it sounds like a syhponic pan/cistern thats not been assembled correctly.

Pipes blocked somewhere between you and the drain.

Could also be a blocked vent.

Take your pick Cool
