i am having an electric shower installed i have to buy the fittings myself and the electrician will come and wire it up for me i want to know what type of switch i need to buy i have bought 10mm cable, my shower is 9.5kw do i need anything else

| The best person to ask what to buy would be the electrician that is going to do the work... he should know what you need on the "grocery list". He may have preference as to what you purchase. |

Correct size fuse at fuseboard(45a or 50a), RCD if not fitted to the fuseboard, 50a pull cord if switch is going on the ceiing, 50a double pole switch if it going outside of the bathroom.
Make sure you get an installation cert on the day and he is going to deal with the part 'P' cert for you.
He will also need to check that all the bonding is up to date and in place.

It is not a requirment under the BS7671 regs but it is a recommendation by every shower manufacturer.
I will not fit a shower without one!!!
