|
|
We have a toilet cistern that fills itself up all the time. I have been told by a plumber that it will do this because of the type of toilet it is and wanted to find out if that's true or am I being spun a line.
The toilet has no external overflow pipe but overflows into the bowl. Now that I get and understand. But there is a constant trickle of water running into the bowl and every 15mins or so my cistern refills. Surely that's not right?
Any help much appreiciated.

Either the water level or the bits in the middle need adjusting.
There are a lot of American style cisten insides on the market at the moment and they are a pig to get just right.
Whatever its against the law to waste water in this way, apart from the fact you could be paying for it if your on a meter |

Cheers scruff. Thankfully I'm in Scotland so don't pay water through a meter but still alot of water being wasted. I'll get back onto the plumber and ask him to finish the job.
