| currently I'm using mortor everytime I need to set a new baththub in place. I was wondering if there is any other set material available to use for leveling and sound deadening? I have tried using an expanding foam, with limited success, there must be a better way. |

| I usually level the floor by going down to the subfloor first, then adding a sheet of plywood that is leveled, then set the tub on that. Are you referring to whirlpool type tub( they usually come with sound insulation), or why do you need to sound deaden a tub. I always insulate all walls in a tub enclosure. Expanding foams could even lift the tub, if you are not careful. |
