Recently bought a set of 10 mini downlights to sink into bathroom ceiling, these run off a transformer.

Am I right in saying that the transformer can be wired into the nearest lighting circuit. Or do i have to provide mains elec to it ?

TIA

All 10 off one transformer? OK

Yes they can come off the lighting circuit assuming less than 5A load. The low voltage cables should all be the same length.

A word of caution, those are Halogen lamps and get quite warm, are they allowed for this type of installation, check directions.
