| Dogs who are exercised regularly enough, including walking on pavements, will generally keep your dogs claws nice and short. If your dog as claws further up on the inside of its front (and sometimes rear) legs, these can tend to overgrow. Some dogs do bite these nails to keep them in good condition. If you buy a pair of clippers, available at any good pet supply store, simply clip the tips off. Dogs who have white nails you will be able to see the line of the quick so don't go near that. Dogs that have dark claws and no visible quick, take them to the vets and let them do it. |
