I know this sounds crazy, but I'd drive myself drazy if I didn't ask first. I have a receptical that tests and resets, it doesn't reset. Does it need to be replaced or is there something I'm not doing? It just stopped in the middle of being used, so it did use to work. Any advice?

GFI receptacles with the test and reset need to have the power turned on to reset. It won't reset unless there is power to the circuit. Like any mechanical device, they sometimes go bad and need replaced.
