| What the difference between type A and B draincocks. Something to do with the glanding?! but what is this? |

BS2879 applies.
Type A is better in that it has an extra nut in the top, which has an O ring seal onto the bit which turns. So they aren't supposed to leak from the shaft when undone. Anyone who uses type B is a dork! |

and one is used on cold water mains (A) the other is used on heating(b) but like he says only use A if your given the option  |
