I live in a flat and I have been having problems with my hot water pressure for about 3 weeks. It can't just be a demand problem as I've never had problems in the past.
Every morning when I turn the hot water on in either the kitchen, bathroom sink or bath/shower, it flows out for about 10 seconds, and then just dribbles out, or stops completely. There is not even enough water to fill a sink (with hot water) although there is nothing wrong with the temperature.
The strange thing is that there is no problem whatsover with the cold water pressure, and even stranger there is no problem with either the hot or cold water pressure in the evening.
I've spoken to the water board, and they say that the problem can't be anything to do with them as there isn't a problem with the cold water pressure.
I've also spoken to neighbours in my flat and noone else seems to be having a problem.
I've had a plumber in to check the boiler (an Elson Coral E Thermal Storage Heater) who suspected that I needed new taps in the bathroom, before he realised (after his visit) that the hot water pressure also doesn't work in the kitchen, so it can't just be the taps.
Please help, as it's driving me crazy only being able to rely on hot water in the evenings, and never in the mornings. There must be a solution!!
Thank you. |
