HI..I have an ADSL broadband connection and every time without fail when next doors themostat kicks in my connection drops. I can hear the thermostat on my computer speakers and also the hifi speakers. It sounds like a longish drone or buzz.
Would a UPS with RF filter solve this problem or any other ideas or suggestions, apart from getting a sledgehammer to their thermostat lol!

use a good quality mains filter on all of you pc equipment. These are avalible from all main electronic retailers Comet, pc world, dixons, maplins etc.
They will also incorparate a suge protector as well.
If this does not solve the problem then the interference is rf and can only be cured by replacing the stat.

HI Vince...I have a Surge protector with telephone protection, but I dont think it has a mains filter.
I keep getting told that a UPS which I think has a filter (and RF filter?)should fix it.
Do you think it WILL fix the prob?

If it has a filter then yes.

argos product code 982-8551 is a better deal at only £24.99
This has an RFI filter
