Hello,
I'm in the process of fitting a surface Mounted Thermostatic Shower. The valve unit is fairly hefty and together with the elbow / shroud connecting kits screws to the connectors on the hot and cold inlet pipes. There doesn't seem to be any way to actually fix the valve unit to the wall and it looks like the pipe fixings are the only things holding it to the wall. Is this the right way to do this ? I'm using 15mm plastic pipe and associated push-fit fittings. The connection from the pipe to the valve unit is a 90 degree elbow, push-fit at one end and tap connector at the other. I'm worried that after some use the valve unit will loosen off due to the weight of it.

Nice handle and probably true.

All brand name will have a back plate which fixes to the wall.

Look for an allen key screw on the valve body 3No normally, slacken then off and fix the plate to the wall.
