|
|
All,
Just been quoted for the system I want to replace my knackered traditional system. Although I asked for a New Trad Boiler, full controls, TRV's, Cylinder and immersion I've not been quoted for cylinder or immersion!
The quote is £1750 (this is ooop North too) and I cannot see how it can possibly be that much considering the boiler position is not even being moved and the controls are mostly wireless. How many days would it take to fit this as I reckon he's trying to charge around £1k labour for a couple of days work when you work out the price of the components?!
Plus, as far as I know the Glow Worm is more expensive than the WB not the other way around!? Anyway please read from the quote below and see what you think...cheers
Dave

I'm starting to guess it is...having spoken to a colleague in London who paid more than £3k!
I think I'll jack in my IT job to be a heating engineer as I don't get paid £300 a day!
Oh well, will get some more quotes and bite the bullet.

Sounds like a fair price for the works detailed.

Best plan is to get BG to quote, then assume a price 500-1000 less.
Price you have is very cheap.
When considering price, consider the cost of ongoing training (Corgi) etc.
