|
|
I recently had a new Halstead combi installed and since then the radiators have started to vibrate badly and bang when the heating has been on for about 15 minuntes. This can be stopped temporarilty by turning the offending radiators down, but comes back after another few minutes
Can anyone advise what has happened? |

Sounds like an air lock in the system. Bleed the rads from cold to remove air and if it is a sealed systerm make sure the pressure is at about 1-1.5bar when cold.

| do you have thermostatic rad valves fitted if so the flow through them could have been reversed when new boiler was fitted |

Yep;
Agree with Geordie01, thermostatic valves have the wrong flow.
Also a not adjusted, or not fitted auto-byepass valve will cause the problem.
More info on the system please.
But get the installer back to sort it under warrantee.
