i live in a new york city flat with a terribly low tolorance for my appliances. if i use any two major appliances together the fuse blows. could i get around this by pluging the aplliances into a surge proctector? if that dosesnt help what does?
also is there anyway i can suck more electiricty to my flat so i will be able to run more appliances. for example using a UPS?
thanks in advance

Using a surge protector or ups will not do anything at all to stop your fuse blowing.
Is it an old building with old wiring?

Then that is why you are limited to what you can load your system up to, years ago cables were smaller and we all used less appliances. If you overide any protection devices you stand the chance of melting the supply cables and starting a fire.

You can plug into a different circuit to run more than one at a time... say in a different room. Good luck!
