|
|
| My basement constantly floods and i think i've discovered the reason but before i start ripping apart my basement floor i just wanted to double check. My basement is below ground with a pump inside the house. The drainage hole is located outside at the stairs and another drainage hole is located a few feet from the first hole inside the house. The hole inside the house has been covered by tiles, is it neccesary for me to expose the hole inside in order for the water pump to operate properly? |

Provided the submersible pump is under the water or the hose is, then it should work.
Could be a flow switch problem, run some water and see if the pump cuts in ok.

Are you saying that the water is pumping out at a higher level?.
If so then a blockage in the pipe would seem the obvious choise, to clear use a snake or similar.
