BLUE SPRUCE

Hi,

An odd question, but I have recently brought a blue spruce and have planted it in a large pot with my dogs ashes. This was planted approximately a month ago. In the past week I have noticed the lower branches where they join the trunk have turned a dark green, and now have some yellow needles. Would this be due to planting the tree with my pets ashes, or is it the trauma of re potting? Any advice would be gratefully recieved. Many Thanks, Sarah.
